Chelsea monitor Brentford striker

Chelsea are monitoring Brentford striker Ollie Watkins, according to the Daily Star.

The forward has scored 17 goals in 27 games for the Bees so far this season and is said to have caught the eye of Frank Lampard as he searches for striking reinforcements.

The report claims that while a move may not happen in this window, the Chelsea boss has identified the forward as a potential long-term target.

Tottenham ‘in talks’ over Gareth Bale

Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid are in talks over a permanent switch for Gareth Bale, according to the Express.

The report claims that Spurs are looking to complete a deal that will see the former player return to N17 on a permanent basis after a loan move was ruled out.

Bale is said to be Mourinho’s first-choice addition before deadline day, but the Welshman’s £650,000 a week wages could be a stumbling block.

Kyle Walker-Peter talks continue

Tottenham and Southampton are continuing talks over full-back Kyle Walker-Peters, according to the Daily Mail.

However, the report states that Spurs are more keen on agreeing on a permanent deal worth around £12 million, instead of a temporary switch.

Crystal Palace, Brighton and West Brom are also all said to have held talks over the 22-year-old, but Southampton are reportedly the favourites to complete any deal before deadline day.

Inter set to seal Giroud deal

Inter Milan will finalise the signing of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud once Matteo Politano has joined Napoli.

The winger looked set for a move to AS Roma, including a swap deal with Leonardo Spinazzola but that fell through.

According to Sempreinter, they will complete a deal for Giroud once Politano completes his deal to join Napoli.

And Fabrizio Romano says that deal is now agreed – a medical and official confirmation should happen on Monday.

Mourinho confirms Lo Celso decision

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Spurs will be signing Giovani Lo Celso on a permanent deal.

The midfielder is on a one-year loan in North London, and Spurs have an option to buy him either in January or at the end of the season.

However, they can also make the move permanent in the January window for cheaper than at the end of the season, and Mourinho has confirmed the midfielder will be staying.

It’s not an obligation, it’s an option. I think the boy is earning the decision. He’s making an easy decision for the club to execute the option.

Incredible evolution since I arrived. Barely played a game, I think he played against Red Star Belgrade, with me a little bit difficult to come in the first few weeks.

But he understood what we wanted. Good learner, good kid and I think by himself he made the decision that the club is going to execute the option. That’s normal, he earned it.
